What type of aircraft does TajAir fly? |
TajAir has a fleet of 2 Falcon 2000 aircraft manufactured by Dassault, France. With an optimum speed of 0.8 mach, the Falcon 2000 is the best executive jet in its class. Our fleet is just over 7 years old, making it the youngest fleet in India.
The Falcon 2000 was originally designed to seat 16 passengers in an economy configuration. We have reconfigured the aircraft to ensure more room for 8 passengers.
When you fly TajAir, you have more than twice the space than any other executive jet available for air charter in India.

Are there
additional charges? |
Depending on the situation, the following charges apply:

Night halt charges shall be charged at INR 60,000/- per night OR US $1500 per night.

Day Detention charges of INR 10,000/- per hour OR US$ 250 per hour shall be charged after 4 hours of free waiting time, in the event of no overnight waiting.

On non flying days, if the aircraft is kept waiting, 2 hours of flying time shall be charged as "Non Flying Day Charge". On this day, no night halt charges apply.

Any Watch Hour extension levied by the airport shall be billed separately after the flight has been completed, as it cannot be foreseen prior to the flight.

IFS (International Flight Clearance Service) charges comprising of Diplomatic, Over flight, Flight plan, Prepaid ground handling, Landing, Parking, Departure charges, etc. apply for flights operating in the international sector.

How do I confirm my booking? |
You can confirm your booking by:

Making a 50% advance payment
towards "confirmation charges" for your flight.

Acknowledging 'acceptance'
on the quotation / the Proforma Invoice and faxing /
e-mailing the same to us.

By paying the balance 50%,
48 hours prior to the flight.

What are the terms for cancellation? |
A 10% charge is levied if the flight is cancelled after payment of "confirmation charges", a 20% charge is applicable for cancellations at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure and 100% charges are levied if the flight is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

Does TajAir handle landing permissions? |
TajAir is a registered executive jet service and liaises directly with multiple agencies to ensure that you can fly as early as possible.
For instance, if the proposed destination is located close to a defense airfield in India, TajAir facilitates approval for non-Indian passengers within 7 working days as against 30 days for a foreign registered aircraft with a foreign crew.

What is the check-in procedure when I fly TajAir? |
You must arrive at the airport 30 minutes before departure for flights within India and 60 minutes before departure for international flights.
We personally escort you from the departure lounge of the airport and supervise your security, customs and immigration clearances for international flights. We handle your baggage the moment you arrive at the airport. Our ground staff stows your baggage in the aircraft before take-off and delivers it to you securely on landing.

Does TajAir have a rent-a-car service at my destination? |
TajAir can arrange this service at Taj Hotel destinations. Do check at the time of booking your trip.

Can I specify my meal preference? |
Yes, you can customize your meal according to your dietary needs. Choose from
vegetarian, special, religious and child and infant meals. Do specify your meal preference 48 hours before departure.
For à la carte, you have a choice of 4 international cuisine options served over a three-course meal. For refreshments, you have a choice of light beverages and gourmet coffees.

Can I have a glass of wine on my flight? |
As per rules stipulated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India, we cannot serve alcoholic beverages on board. Also, passengers are forbidden to carry alcohol into the aircraft.

Yes, you are always connected. You can make long-distance calls on a satellite phone or send a message through the facsimile. These services are charged as per usage and applicable tariffs.
